Thanks Nige I think there pissed off that we won one in a row or some thing like that we kick a red ball down here mmm red now that would be a nice colour to paint a KAT. Cheers Murf.

Keeping spokes shiny can be hard work - I have used Stainless on two sets of rims and they work a treat.

I have gone a little thicker as stainless is a little more brittle but went for butted spokes.

I sourced mine direct from Hagon in the UK. I shall measure the gauge and advise later.

The spoke heads need to be bent to suit inner and outer - had a bit of drama with my last lot - but it worked out ok in the end.

Front 3 - butted 4.

Back 4 - butted 5.

.....I went a little thicker on the rear - but also fitted 5.5" Akront rim.

I am jealous your kat will look smick post a pic when your are finished
Thanks Geoff

Good work Dave, polished alloy comes up well and when they are laced up with stainless spokes they are pretty easy to keep clean and polished. Having owned cast and W.W, I found that keeping polished W.W. looking 100% is much easier than looking after painted or anodized cast wheels. I didn't polish the hubs they were low pressure treated by Wayne at Specialised Blasting Services and after three years the hubs still look great with no tarnish or marks to the surface.

Cheers.

Thanks Shin.Looks like the go. Im not big in most cases with the polish or chrome look anyways. My missus doesn't get it but those freshly clean engine parts are just horn. That guzzi motor would look sweet like that on stand in my house.Again my missus gave that " your weird and that is a stupid idea" look. God love her.
