VJMC Rally - Gold Coast - Sat 18 May - Outback Spectacualr Car Park

Hi,

The previous two years we were able to coincide a mini SoO with the VJMC get together at Tamworth.

This year the Rally shall be on the Gold Coast 17-19 May.

The Show n Shine shall be Sat afternoon 18 May - at the Outback Spectacular Carpark in Oxenford.

The suggestion is that from a Qld perspective we look at a ride down from the north and west to meet those from the Goldie. Of course if any of our brothers from South of the Tweed are keen to join - even better.

Shall firm up details closer to the time - perhaps we could have VJMC reserve a spot for proper bikes. Not sure where the pop-ups will park if any of them make it that far ;)
 
My kat is highly likely to be running at Willowbank in the street bike series that afternoon/evening... but you never know......
 
Was looking to make the trip, and then realised its my eldests birthday that weekend so doubt that will go down well at home.

Hope all that attend have a safe and good time.

Rough plan - same start venue as SoO - Rocklea.

Meet at 10h00 to leave @ 10h30.

1 1/2 hour back roads run down to Oxenford. Have a look around - show off our Kats and then leave (them devastated).
 
Sounds good to me Derek, see you and the crew at the Shell servo Sat 18th May. It'll be show but no shine for my Kat, not much paint left on her to shine up these days.

Hi all, given that Sat 18 May is election day it seems that we may have a smaller than expected turnout?

If you still have an interest in doing a group Kat ride - please let me know. Happy to can if no/low interest.
 
I'm open to go Derick, work can be a problem but see how we go. Look forward to a great ride and looking at some cool bikes, namely ours :D
 
I am hoping I will be good for Saturday Derek. Just depends on 2 whethers, the Weather and also whether I may have to do any painting. Hopefully can do that Friday.

Other than your replies (thanks) it seems like a variety of things are conspiring against a group ride - happy that each does their own thing as required.


Will still do the Power O run in the morn.
 
No work tomorrow, in a hurry so needed a battery pronto seems motobatt is a good product and R J s gave a good price. Moons out so hope to be at power O Saturday.

The Chaiman has seen how my kat goes against a red bus at the traffic lights, it took a while to run down Mark.
