Hi, anyone can recommend a good transporter that can transport a bike from Avoca, Qld to Brisbane or to Sydney? Thanks.
 
Frankie, I used this guy (Phil) from Pedimont Bike Transport a while ago. Does a run up and down the east coast, Victoria on a regular basis.

He bought the dinged up black Kat from Old Gold up to Qld for me....$300.

Frankie, harden up mate, just fly up to Dave's place and ride with him to Drillit's on the Friday then tag along with us to Nambucca on Saturday. After the S.O.O. weekend ride home with the Blue Team - job done.

See problem solved Frankie. Someone is always thinking on there feet. If you cant do it I can take your place! You can ride my bike up.
That saying $300 bucks seems a good price.

The Empress would NOT like that man! If I were to fly up there and ride it back.....no more Nambucca for me :(
 
Eric, I've just called Phil and he couldn't do it. Same reason as my transporter....need someone to bring it down to Brissy >_<
 
Sorry mate, thought he might be doing the whole east coast by now.

aarrrrrrr, call me slow, the penny has just dropped :oops:, Looked up Avoca, Qld on Google Maps, and said to self, " gee self, that's where Bundy Dave lives " ..... whammo !

Very nice pick up Frankie.

Mainfreight, as Tom says, are all over the highways up here, if crated it should be ok !!

Hey Frankie, it's only one extra day. Fly up Friday to Bundy ride from Bundy to Brisneyland same day. S.O.O. Saturday ride home Sunday. You'll only be away for two and 3/4 days. Qld will still get the point for Dave's Kat cos it will have QLD plates remember.

Talk to road hog transport - I think they're based up that way and do weekly run down the coast - that would be back freight so may get it cheap

edit Just looked it up you dont even have to go to transport (ok 30 bucks a day is maybe more than a few)

Thanks John. It also stated 'You must not stop anywhere else on your journey.'

You can only stop along the way to get a:

  • gas certificate
  • weighbridge certificate
  • safety certificate/COI certificate (including road testing as part of a safety certificate/COI inspection)
  • written-off vehicle inspection (allowed for repairable write-offs only)
  • Queensland Police Service inspection (surrogate)
  • surrogate identification number/s stamped on the vehicle.
