The New Katana

pkay

GSX400S Rider
Has anybody heard what the likely pricing of the bike will be. Given it's a fancy GSXR1000S I was hoping that it would be similar.

Hi pkay
Given it’s a re-fairning’ed GSX-S1000 I’m hoping they keep it realistic around $15,990.

Too much more than that for same hardware and Hoping on the namesakes coat tails would just be having a lend at our expense.

The same thing happened with the Z900Rs retro kwaka..
It to was based around the Z900 at 13K.
Ended up with an RRP of 18k...
Inside information suggests the new kat will be in the 18-20k rannge......

Brothers, do not be tempted by spin from the marketing suits! A decal on a current machine does not a Katana make! Gotta go to the shed now and prepare the torches and pitchforks.

Keep the faith.

Hi Tom, no, it is not too late to save you! My methods of salvation to free you from this torment of considering buying the so called "Katana" may at first seem harsh, perhaps even brutal. However, salvation from such depravity is a road well worth traveling.

I am here to help.

Cheers.

It is too late for you to save me Glen!

I am going to relive my life when I was 25 when I purchased my first new Katana as I have actually paid a sizable deposit at McCulloch Suzuki for the first new Katana 2020 new in Australia.

Wow! You don't mess around eh Tom! Congrates on deciding to grab one when the first batch arrives. You know what happens then? Plenty of news and photos O.K.

Cheers mate.

The first official order with deposit for the first bike in Australia. I did it the following morning of the release.

And Lesley just shook head and laughed when I told her what I had done.

Just will not be around to see this be a classic and all the talk from today's young guys on how a lot did not like it when it was released. History repeating itself??????

Now that is how ya do it Tom, go big! Don't forget to hit them up for every bit of info/promo/brouchure/poster etc, you know the drill.

Cheers.

The drill? A bit early to be taking the drill to the new bike although I am sure there are those amongst us that may have such plans.........

Just had confirmation that I am now on the guest list for the unveiling of the new Katana on Thursday 25th Oct in Cowes. WooHoo!

I'll take some photos at the event and post them afterwards.

Cheers
