Tail fairing colour

Hey guys. Would anyone know the correct colour of the tail fairing for a 1981 Katana 1100- SXZ?

Blue I believe.

Nice one drillit, I should have been more specific and asked for a colour code or exact colour blue.

It was injection moulded blue I think. I'll take a Pantone book home and see if I can match a blue to it.

G'day Bill. Just out of interest, are you planning on painting one or are you looking for the Suzuki colour code? Wasn't the SZX just a special version of the SZ and probably used the same tail fairing?

Hey muddy. Yes sxz is the same as sz, just looking at painting one in the correct colour or close to it. Mine is silver atm and could use a repaint so why not get it close to original colour.

I think Pantone 296C is closest.

Hi. I haven't tested it but know someone who swears by sunscreen cream for plastics like this and has had great success with car dash panaels and stuff like that. You would have to 'sand' out any gouges first.
