Swoopswoop

Hi fella's (and gals?) Time to introduce myself. Tip toed around the site a month ago and really appreciate the help you fella's gave me. I was chasing down a compufire product for my rec/reg and stator but did not work out, tried rob winton in Canada but he had no luck, rang compufire but they were moving premises which explained the problem so many thanks to the guys at gosford motorcycles who sent the correct parts up asap but l then found a previous mechanic had changed the stock items and l had to send them back O/N and received the new parts the next morning being Wednesday and had the kat going for a 2 day boys ride through the sunshine coast hinterland which was fab! The old KAT still has it but the speed wobbles at 150-60 still disturb me (time to fix that). My history is the first bike l bought was a Suzi GSX 750 1980 version l think, great old reliable donk blue in colour( did not have a licence at that time). Then in march 1983 I bought my 1100SD kat built 12/82 for 4000 on the nose colour red/silver and still have it, l was 22 at the time. Cheers all l won't be on constantly being not very computer literate but Kat's rule. Thank you.

Hi Swoop, welcome to the forum. Thanks for your great intro and to know you still have your Red/Silver SD Kat after all these years and that you have her up and running now - well done. Do you know about our ride on the 25th of July to Nanango? Rock up if you can, even if it's just to meet the team at Kilcoy for 10 minutes on our way through if you can't get away for the day/weekend. We always like to meet Kat owners and their rides and even more so when the Kat has had one owner from new! Which part of the Sunny Coast are you in? We have a couple of Kats around there.

The more you surf the forum the easier it will get so don't be a stranger here. When you do "Log In" just glance up in the righthand corner to check if anyone has sent you a P.M. (Private Message).

Cheers,
Glen.

Yes, John.
We should have a good chat at 35th. I'm originally from Beenleigh / Greenbank area and moved down to Warriewood.
Am Maroon through & through, so the Eagles were an easy choice, but more of an American NFL fan.

Hi John, I see Pete has already posted up the link for the Nanango ride for you so you should be squared away with the ride info there. If you need any other info don't hesitate to ask me here or send a P.M. We all live for Kats here and enjoy seeing them out on the road where they belong with their owners having fun.

Cheers,
Glen.
