As today is Kat day here is my other Kat - Black Kat was the bike that made me get my unrestricted licence about 3 years ago Another eBay buy from a guy in Toowoomba it had been sitting in his shed unusued - price $3,800. Not sure about the black paint job but the way it's been executed tells me that it has had the engine out of the frame and a fair bit of money spent on the paint. Went through a bit of a recomission process including a carb strip down, a fuel tap, and a fair bit of electrical tidying up (including finding a place to mount the front inidcators), a set of Kat indicators and after Drillits experience an original rear guard. I've just given her a major maintenance overhaul and a tune and balance (with another carb clean up). This time I also took the forks off and replaced the oil, reset the preload, found a set of shark fins for the cowl, installed a centre stand and treated her to a set or Sport Demons. The bike had a 4-1 Tranzac exhaust installed when I bought it - inclduing a lug for the centre stand to mount against when in the up position strangely enough. Sounds great too!!!
Needs a set of rear shocks now as the ride sucks and hurts!!!
