Hi Folks, as some of you know Nick is visiting Brisbane next weekend and we're having a ride next Sunday to catch up with him. It's a short ride starting at Parkinson and out to Boonah - Walloon - Yamanto - Springfield - Parkinson.

We have a few starters already and of course anyone from the Forum (and Steve) wishing to join in is welcome. Nick isn't from around here so I'll pick him up from his mates place and head off to the starting point for the ride and show him the way back when the day is done. It'd be great to see as many of our local riders as possible turn up to say hi to Nick and enjoy the days ride. By local I mean anyone of us from S.E. Qld including the hoard of Kat owners living on the Northside.

The meet-up point for the ride is the Shell servo at 2650 Beaudesert Road Calamvale, the Servo is on the left West bound about 250m past the intersection of Beaudesert Road and Honeysuckle Way.

Ride start time from the Shell servo is 09:00.

The ride:

Parkinson - Yamanto - Peak Crossing - Boonah with a very quick rest stop, then from Boonah to Mount Walker - Rosewood - Walloon for lunch. After lunch and plenty of Kat talk it's over to Yamanto. From there anyone wanting to head home on the Highway can break off. From Yamanto - Brookwater on the Centenary Motorway again a good break-off point for anyone going back to Brisbane. For anyone else Nick and I will be going back to Parkinson via Greenbank and Browns Plains and passing by the Shell servo where the ride started from.

If you are keen on the ride and meeting up with one of our Kat mates from down South could you please reply with your name here.

83Kat (Ian) has very kindly offered to put on a snag sizzle BBQ for lunch at his place so lunch and softdrinks/tea/coffee are a done deal.

Cheers,
Glen.

Riders are:

Nick
Shin-Ken 1074
83Kat
Toadboy
PeteGSX
Pauly
Steve

Drillit - ? thinks he is a fair bet to make it.

Sorry guys not sure what happened there.
I will be there and I will ring Steve tomorrow to confirm with him.

Regards Pauly

Awesome cheers Glen, can't wait!

If any other northsiders are heading over I'm contemplating an earlier start with a detour over Glorious/Nebo on the way to Calamvale.

If that happens I'll probably look to be leaving the Samford Caltex around the 7am mark.

Good stuff Pauly, I washed and polished the wee beastie on Sunday... can you tell by these on/off showers we've been having since then? She'll be back to her dirty daily rider self well and truly by then...

See ya both there.

Cheers.

Thanks Paul, you're in. The KLR 650 is a wise choice my friend. See ya at the servo.

Cheers.

Will be glad to catch up again at last Paul! Haven't seen you on a run in ages...

G'day, If your thinking of attending could you please let us know so we have an idea of the numbers for the lunch time BBQ, thanks, cheers Ian and Sue.

11 on Glen's list so far Ian including me, looks like a decent turn out!

I'm leaving the Samford Caltex about 7:15 am if anyone north side wants to come for a run over Glorious/Nebo first.

Can't wait!

:-D....The outdoor entertainment area is prepared (cleaned and all the crap put away) and ready for my guests to relax (could be a scene out of MKR's..except don't expect Pete and Manu). Welcome to MARGARITAVILLE Garage and KAT House Restaurant, Bar and Grill) . Eric and I will be at your place, Glen before 7.30, see you then, cheers Ian.

Thanks Ian and Sue, your generous offer to host the snag sizzle is much appreciated. See ya tomorrow.

Glen.

Great to catch up with members today.

Many thanks to Ian and Sue for hospitality, very pleasant couple of hours spent swapping stories with old and new friends.

Didn't actually make the ride.....ready to go this morning and for the first time ever, didn't put the blue flash on charge last night and yep - bat flattery :(
made worse when jumped on the Yami scooter to whizz round to Ian with the good news and f*** me, it was flat as well.

Anyway, great first outing at the Margaritaville Grill and Garage.

Thanks to all.
