SOO 2022 Weekend

Hi Folks,
yep, State Of Origin 2022 weekend is on the way. The usual issue of avoiding school holidays for both QLD and NSW riders had to be considered as well as the Nambucca Golf Tournament and P.I. MotoGP Oct this year. Also discussed between the QLD/NSW crew was the weather and moving SOO from Aug/Sep to Oct to give us a better chance of enjoying the ride in milder conditions.

So here we go for SOO 2022:

Where: Nambucca Heads, usual place.

When: Oct 21,22,23.

Yep most definitely! The last two years have been frustrating with everything organised to be able to go and then nothing eventuating, it's gotta happen this year!

.....I am seeing a parallel between your claimed availability and the lack of event happening.

Hey what's the accommodation deal for SoO this year? I figured I should probably make some reservations pretty soon and pay day is in 4 days...

Hi Pete, we stay at Ingenia Holiday Park White Albatross ph: 026568 6468.

They have everything from tent sites to family villas, most of us book a cabin to suit and if you are in the sharing mood there is usually some who will go halves in a cabin. The cabins are great coz all you need to take is riding gear and a spare pair of jocks - optional.

The Tavern is on site with meals and a kiosk for snacks and takeaways - they serve a great breakfast.

Excellent, cheers Glen! Cabin sounds good and sharing is all good with me (just the cabin, not the bed!!), will check it out a bit later in the week.
 
Maybe that solo cabin option isn't such a bad idea after all...
