Round 3 Australasian Superbikes at QLD Raceway Willowbank.

Dusted of the old KAT about 10-15 years ago to go to my local round of the Super Bikes at Winton VIC I went early as years ago if you didn't you wouldn't get in and to my surprise there i was me and about 20 other people and the crowd didn't get any bigger ya just cant beat the drawing power of an early 80s Super Bike Cheers Murf

Bugger, haven't been out for the bikes for years! On call this weekend so a definite no for me unfortunately.

The Superbikes were good. It wasn't the big race but I got to watch all classes and walk through the pits. Ride in via pit lane and have a gawk at their wares.
The usual Jap and Italian beasts but the only photo I took was-

the Irving Vincent. This is the 1300cc. The 1600cc was in the shed and I couldn't get a good pic but I was in there talking to the rider and the mechanic. Real good guys.

Awesome day riding out through Beaudeserr and Boonah, watch some races, a crash or two and an easy ride home.

Very nice Ben!

I'll have to make the effort to get out there again, I do love watchin the races but haven't for years.

Hi Ben, I was at Eastern creek not so long ago and seen the 1600cc Irving Vincent run and what a beautiful noise it made but the bike was having allot of issues and only finished one of its races. Awesome bit of Kit.

Hey Nick, I've only seen it run on TV. It ran in the race before I got there and then they didn't run it again. The engine builder/mechanic said they're a LOT of hard work to keep going. Very unreliable but they want to be different so they persevere. We hung around to the last race as they were hoping to run it but they pulled it at last minute.

Saw the Vincent on Friday arvo. Deceptively quick but then went off song

Was Cam Donald the pilot?
