Hello everyone, I'm looking to buy a pop up this year but want to know why no one does a 7/11 swap, either gsx or gsxr? I just haven't seen this. Point me in the right direction please. Supa

Suspect gsx1100 would be too tight a fit . Wouldn't be able to take cam cover off.
Also problems with lower rear mount. Chain alignment. Would be Lot of work for a 20kw increase( 62 to 83).
Plus popup parts hard to find.

1260 bandit motor however done may times. But Rego issues .

Years ago we tried to fit an 82 1100EZ motor into an 85 750ES chassis (essentially the same as the 16" front Pop-up), the 1100 engine was too long for the frame cradle and wouldn't lie flat, so scratch that one...
 
Yes it's a no go but the gsxr engines are a fit and bandits . So I'll look for a nice one this year. Of course upgrades for brahes at least will be good. Yeh another project🥺
