NZ Marlboro Series 76-77

For 3 summers, back in the mid to late 70's , NZ held an international road racing series sponsored by Marlboro. It attracted some of the top international riders of the age as it fell during the European GP off season and offered decent prize money. Top local and Australian riders also flocked to the race series to compete with some of the world's best. T'was the golden age of motorcycle road racing in NZ.

The racers involved included the late, great Warren Willing, Pat Hennen, Chas Mortimer, Randy Mamola, Jeff and Murray Sayle, Stu Avant, Graeme Crosby, the late, great Greg Hansford and a host of others.
