New member with 750 popup in Sydney

Hi there I've just joined tonight and bought a popup about 12 months ago. I would dearly love to get a 1100 if one came up but I'm still hiding this one from the wife haha. I rode a mates in Brisbane around Anzac Day and was blown away by how it went. I will try to get to the state of origin this year if I can and would love to meet a few Sydney guys for a ride.
 
Hi Peter and welcome to the Forum. If you are after an 1100 Kat they turn up for sale however, the ones priced for use on Planet Earth sell pretty quick so if you find the one you want think hard about grabbing it. There will be a few Kat riders from Sydney riding up for our S.O.O. in Sep so join in the fun.

Seeing as though you are the source of clandestine coding - I suggest the following.....(as R1, R2, R3.75 and R4.25 are already in use!

R5 - Pop-up thingy.
R6 - as yet un-procured proper Katana......

Hi Peter, finally here eh.

Derek and I have been on an 'arms race' for a bit now and we have our kats about where we want them, there is more in them but that means a bit more money, glad you liked them.

An 1100 will 'pop up' for you someday and then you need to get the really big drills out.

Am another Sydney sider, n the northern beaches.

Be sure to post some pics of your Kat.

As for S.O.O there is generally a group 3 bikes or more which head out of Sydney on the Friday for a more inland route to Nambucca Heads, and others who meet and head up on the Saturday.

This is not a laughing matter Peter! I'm currently keeping secret the fact that I've place a deposit on the a 2017 GSX-R1000R and considering options for where to store it.

As for an 1100, yes! Would like one also, but love my '82 750.
Did look at this one with Marty and is not far from me. Not bad and personally I like the original 4-2 exhaust.
He's had it for sale for some time, so if it interests you you may be able to negotiate.

So Tomcat, when is the new bike arriving? I've got mine registered now and went on the Sydney ride couple of weeks back. I'll pull my finger out and post a couple of photos of her on the weekend.

Best info from all Suzuki dealers is release date is late Sept / early Oct.
5 months to either; in order of unlikely to Likely
~Win Gold Lotto - no explaination needed. Unlikely!
~ convince wife that it's 'an investment towards SuperFund. Less likely.
~ find alternative site to store bike, ride current bike/car to Alt -site and ride for the day in secret. Most likely?
