New Kat

Not sure, but for me the original Kat was the beast in the then Suzuki stable, the 'new' Kat is just a rebadged/refaired GSX-S from my understanding - sits far below the GSX-R and Hayabusa, so not really sure how it is actually a Kat.
That said, I think its a pretty cool looking bike - have only seen one in flesh once and kinda liked it.

I'm on the fence on them... for me a Kat is long and low, and the new ones are anything but given they're based on the GSX-S1000.
I definitely don't like the silver ones, seems like the wrong silver or something and it's just not right. The black ones with the red trim aren't too bad though.
I've seen a few now between Gary's at SoO last year, plus a few in traffic, and another at the Pit Stop. Can't say they've grown on me but then again there's not much modern stuff that floats my boat.

Take the "Katana" decals off it and ask someone what it is. Take the "Katana" decals off a vintage SZ, SD, SE Kat and blind Freddie will tell you it is a Kat!
