I used to land on my arse quite a bit as a young fella. Even though I was riding on 'superior rubber' (Pirelli Phantoms, Metzlers, etc.). Caused a lot of road-rash and head-scratching. Now I realize it was carbon black letting go and that silica is my saviour. Ah.... just another example of better living through chemistry!
