More on Target....

This prototype didn't have the HT lead connected or the radiator/plumbing to the W/C head...….or front brake line. I think they used rocks under the front wheel to stop?

I don't mind that... dunno why but there you go....

So what you're saying Derek that there is a threesome going on here... Zundapp-Laverda-Katana.

Orange, silver and black with no working parts. No Target fingerprints here, this was designed as a motorbike kit by Leggo!

Do you know this motorcycle GSX400X IMPULSE? gsx400x.jpg
This design is by Hans A. Muth. The design concept is Tokyo Tower and Roppongi City.
I don't know whether this motorcycle was sold outside of Japan, or not. Have you seen it in your country?

Maybe a foursome...
What about the BMW???
I was told the R65SL was designed by one, or all, of the three guys at Target too.

A shipment of Japanese Domestic Model 400 Impulses came to New Zealand in the mid-80s. The story was that the hadn't sold in Japan in the numbers expected. The sold here at a very reasonable price NZD4,000 and were quite common on NZ roads for a time and for club racing. We also got JDM RG400 Gammas around the same time, apparently for the same reason of over supply.

I suspect we got shipments of new JDM models -my 650G-spot is a JDM- is that compliance with NZ regulations at that time was cheap and required no modifications at all.
