Modified tank bra

Hi all
As nothing was available off the shelf, decided to modify something else to suit my needs as do not want to get buckle / Zip scratches over the newly finished project.

Here is the summary.
Buy a Targa tank cover on ebay for around $56


Cut the bungy cord exactly in half and buy a tube of 12 Occy straps from Kmart for $5. Take one of the small straps and remove the small hooks for use on the cut Bungy.


The hooks go through the gap between tank and fairing to attach to the frame nuts just below the fake oil cooler grill. The rear tucks in between the side covers and under front of seat.


$61 and 30-40 minutes work


I'll try to put together a better step by step if anybody is interested.

Good job on making the bra fit. (Most of us want to get the bra off.)
I can understand why because your paint looks awesome but putting on a bra you cover up the beauty. You really should be showing her off. You did an amazing job on the resto.

The bra will only be for riding to work on the odd day and any long distance treks. I made it so it comes off easily so can show them nice round curves.
