Lloyd's auction

The Kawasaki TC turbo grenade is interesting. The original one looks awesome. The one with the LTD bodywork has a genuine TC engine number - could be a buy if the right price. Lots of Kats in average condition, could be a good buy in there as well for a street and track day flogger without being too worried about things going wrong. The guys bidding on the 1000 have gone mental..... Some other interesting stuff too - maybe a cheap Z1R? Have a few on the watch list. I know the guy selling the Lawson Rep and the RZ500. He is thinning out his herd.

I was shown the clip ofthe collection - all from the same place. Guess that's what happens when you get to the end of your collecting days. Sort of like looking into the future........ At least mine are better stored than his and don't look like crap (or covered in said same substance).

Does anyone know the final selling prices of the Katana's? With Lloyds Auctions those prices aren't disclosed once sold and a "closed" sign replaces the selling price.

the 2 that I bid on went for 6800 and nearly 9k for the second one, one went as high as 11k including buyers premium. wish I had screenshot it now.

Cheers
Max

Hi Max, do you know which lot numbers those prices are for. $11,000 including premium, some body wanted that one. Which two were you after, did you win?

Cheers.

Nah no winners for me, I wanted Lot 58, went for 6800 approx including. I believe Soxy got the 1000 with the motor out, lot 53 went from memory between 5-6000 with no seeable vin. there was quite a tidy looking Kat went up around the 11k mark, the turbo Kat was somewhere around the 9-10k mark

Thanks Max, good to know the value of Kats in less than stellar condition are doing a bitcoin and going over a cliff in value at last.

Cheers mate.

Holy Crap - talk about target fixation - I watched the whole thing and couldn't believe what people were prepared to pay - no bargains at all. When I saw the LB80 go for nearly $3k I knew it was stupid money time. That K turbo with the wrong body parts went for nearly as much as the genuine one in good condition. As for the Kats - stupid money on all of them. If they wanted a rat bike so be it but I reckon they all needed $1k - $2k spent on them easy to get respectable. Wonder how many will pop up on eBay or slumtree soon. I've decided next time I sell a bike I'm going to cover it in dust and crap and claim it's a shed find.........
