I've been watching a show called Naked Speed on Foxtel, all about various bike builders chasing the dream with custom bikes... and I'm not talking Harleys I'm talking cafe racers and the like. There's been some pretty good stuff on there!

Anyway, last night was the highlight of the season, an '82 750 Kat transformed and a B12 motor in it with some other bits and pieces. Some real nice tidy touches like the oil cooler where the headlight should be and dual fuel fillers while trying to keep with the original Kat tank lines.

Not going to be everyone's cup of tea but the attention to detail is quite impressive and the test/stunt rider thrashed the guts out of it and it went well!

The most interesting fact of all is that this is made by the Icon gear manufacturing company... and they actually make these bikes themselves, they don't put their logo on someone else's creation.

Yes the "Naked Speed" program showed the building of the bike which is something I hadn't seen before.

It was cool how they found the frame, bits-n pieces in a junk pile and put it together...

Ian, the rider says that's the most time they've given him on a bike... normally they just throw it at him and say do stuff for the camera.

Yep Dave, that was pretty cool alright! I wouldn't mind a day picking through that guys' yard I tell ya'...
