hi all
the following is what I got my PA to translate as best she could.
Note:no claim is made to the accuracy or comments in this translation!
"We have arrived the final construction phase of this exclusive motorbike. The line is decided but a new superstructure needs to be done. Test on the road and finally bath it with a shiny paint.
It will be ready for Eicma.
Still one step or even a month of work and here we are. Our Katana 3.0 is born from the pencil of Rodolfo Frascoli and from the technical capacity/ability of motor engineers, the development centre where another 100 technicians work guided by engineer Alberto Strazzari are capable of building, testing and put on the road the prototype in North of Bologna this well-equipped laboratory.
Our sports bike is based on 4 cylinder??? Suzuki GSX-S1000F, a year of work is finally on the final stage. The prototype was frozen on the superstructure line for saddle replacement, tank and pigtail.
As you can see on this page but not yet with colour and friezes, the original Katana is obviously an icon inimitable and we are not trying to clone, but by doing this operation we want pay a tribute to one of the most innovative and interesting bike ever built.
A prototype that sparks
There is a consistent piece of the puzzle missing that is stopping put together this beautiful bike.
As you can see on the photo La Katana 3.0 is on a raw stage. Not so much for the work on the clay the special mouldable material coating the bike entirely after stopping the development in plastic & metal.
We have to pass the construction phase of the new super structure. These component could be constructed of composite fibres (with the maquette from mold) or obtained completely exploring the electronic digitalization that has been gained from different sources from construction design combined with engineering engines.
Another step is to decide the prototype that will serve to verify if the new pilot seat works.
In conclusion it’s ready to be admired (Eicma from 7-12 November) like a star at the most important motor show in the world."
Dream On everybody, Dream On
