Jesus wept

Some say Hillbillies live out in the scrub........................not true, going by this crime against machinery.

The method they used is fine, it's a pretty common way to remove and install engines. However, to have three of them dick around for soooo long and still have trouble trying to work it out was entertaining.

I'm glad you said that method was fine Glen as that's how I got the lump out of the Mongrel. Once the pipes, carbs and electrics were off, it took me 20 minutes to undo the engine mounts and lay it on its side and then stand the bike back up and she was out. I did it all alone until wifey helped me lay it down.

Works a treat.

+1 on the method, I dicked around with mine for a period of time then once I laid it on the side it was out in 38.6 seconds (yep, it was that quick :))

These guys really made a meal of it

 I guess that's a video of what not to do, to get an engine out of the frame. I'm very surprised that mummy stayed there that whole time filming. I guess they're a family of happy bunnies. :p

And just think Suzuki got it in there without scratching any thing and without a lump of wood to boot Cheers Murf I can see the E Bay write up un finished project all the hard work done LOL

True, but with three of them there, it would be easy just to lift the sucker sideways out of the frame.

It had to be a piss take, they were so retarded in every way that it couldn't be for real..............................................I hope?

Wow,if it took those three numptys that long to remove the engine i wonder how many hours/days it will take them to refit it?

I've done this both ways a number of times.

The engine removal/installation thing, that is.

Getting a mate to help man-handle the engine out of an upright frame is by far the easiest way to do it - two people can handle it easily and not scratch anything.
Otherwise, the frame has to be completely bare and you have to prop the engine up on its LH side properly or you get the shenanigans in that video...
