How to identify VM32SS carbs

Aren't the numbers 493 and 20 instead of 49 and 20? It's hard to read the 3 stamp on mine too.
The number 49320 is I.D.No. for VM32SS of SXZ.

Thank you for the response, I will have a closer look as I could not see the 3 but given your information it would appear that this is the correct ID numbers.
My bike was imported from New Zealand over 25 years ago and has been in South Australia since, I am the third owner, it has travelled 19800 km .
There is no Vin. plate on the head stem but the frame number is stamped in the usual location, there is a label with the Engine and Frame number on it.
The rims have been changed, front rim is Takasoga 18 x 2.5, rear rim is Excel/Takasoga 17 x 4.25. Spokes are stainless steel.
Chain guard has a slight notch in it to clear the rear tyre.
Mufflers have 27mm holes in centre and all exhaust is original.
I have just fitted 2 new ignition coils as bike had a miss at idle, purchased new genuine Suzuki coils from Mick Hone and this has fixed the miss fire.

I hope the machine Tye has is a genuine E27, that would be a great part of Katana history to have here in OZ.

Hi Tye, Kiwialfa (Darryl) is a good bloke and could be able to help you contact Carl about your SXZ if you are keen to know more about it's history and confirm if it is one of the 20 genuine E27 SXZ shipped to NZ from Hamamatsu. OEM E27 SXZ exhaust had 33 mm outlet, 27 mm are standard Kat exhaust outlet. Exhaust systems don't last forever so the original 33 mm could have been replaced for a few reasons and the 33 mm systems are very difficult to locate and expensive when they are found so a 27 mm system fitted to an SXZ is an option if the pockets are not deep enough for a set of 33 mm pipes.

E27 didn't have a VIN plate fitted so that is one tick for it being an NZ machine as long as there are no bogged rivet holes for a lost plate. Frame GS110X 100780 is a W.W. frame, tick number two. VM32SS carbs, tick three. Hopefully it could turn out to be a very special Kat in Katanaland! Looking forward to seeing the pics tonight, I'll bet Darryl is pretty keen to eyeball them as well!

Thank you for the partial photos. The mark in front of the Takasago engraved on the rim is the JIS mark. It is an abbreviation for Japanese Industrial Standards. In other words, it is a proof that the product has passed it. I explained it for reference.

Thank you for the photos. Your SXZ is equipped with a pipe swing arm, isn't yours? Your SXZ has the same specifications as mine. Isn't your Kat a South African SXZ?
I have 16.5 FCR Flat slides carbs on my 1260 Katana Tye and what a missile.
