Hi everyone glad I have found this page
About me was an avid bike rider until wife put foot down lol but have now been given two basket cases of the 650g Kat to rebuild in Qld so any hints tips etc will be great fully received

Welcome Piers
You'll get lots of support from the forum members, and there are a few with 650's.

Best of luck and be sure to post some pics.

Cheers
Stuart

Had frame powder coated and slowly putting things back on before I attempt engine rebuild

Good stuff Piers! You've come to the right place and us South East Qld riders are pretty active around here too.

There's a regular Saturday morning ride starting on the north side and plenty of other activity going on as well.

You'll get some sh1t stirring about the 650G not being a real Katana... but no more than the popup lads get :D

It's all in jest and you'll find plenty of help and interest here.

Welcome Piers, start a thread to post your resto progress. Always interested in seeing Kats coming back to life. I have a 650 on that,s on the go slow at the moment. Engine runs well, but electrics and brakes (and pretty much everything else) needs work.

Thanks ppl just got frame back from powdercoaters so going to start fitting things back on as I clean treat prime and spray

While it can be slow as a wet week, I use Photobucket for mine. Upload them and then copy and paste the <IMG> link they provide you.
