Hi,

New to the Katana world, one of those bikes I have loved since childhood and Ive finally got one a (1982 750 Katana) the other bike Ive always loved is the 1st Generation Yamaha V max (which I also own)
My Katana is not yet in my possession, however its paid for and in transit.

Im currently living in Ringwood, vic. Anyone near me?

I look forward to hearing all of your stories and sharing remedies.

Thanks for the welcome, the Katana is coming from Tony at Zacland Pty Ltd (QLD).

It is a recent import, I also purchased my 1988 V max thru Tony and I'm very happy with the service and communication provided by him.

The bad part is the wait.

Am sure you'll enjoy every minute of riding once it arrives.

For me the wait to arrive was OK, but the next 18months of strip down & rebuild were almost unbearable ( or is that "unKatable" ).

If you haven't already seen on the forum, there is the Gathering next March in Albury for the 35th

I was living in Wodonga when you guys had your 30th on the causeway between Albury Wodonga my wife and I were driving past and stopped to check out all the great bikes on display. I will definitely be coming along to the 2016 event. The wife has family there so it wont be an issue for us mate, I will also be taking my fully enclosed trailer leaving from Melbourne so if anyone from Melbourne would like a ride ive got room for 1 Katana and 3 bums. should be a great event. be good to meet some like minded Katana Lovers.... if I don't end up taking another bike for someone I might bring the v max just for the sake of it.

Hey Scotty,

Welcome to Katana Australia...

I live near Berwick and work in Bayswater. There are a couple of us in East Melbourne that have Kats and get out regularly.

As mentioned above with the 35th next March, we have about 6 Kats heading up from East Melbourne and would be real happy for you to join.

Let us know when you get the bike and we can catch up.

I live in Victoria & own an 88 V Max & an 82 Katana (which I bought from Ringwood) as well... spoooky :o

Thanks Rusty and thanks all for the welcome to the community, I'm new to this forum thing so please forgive any mistakes I make whilst I learn, ill ask questions if im not sure.
 
its comforting to know im not alone in my choice of bikes....as long as he doesn't own a Harley (my other bike) we know TurboKat is not my alter ego....lol
