Hi from Kurrajong NSW

Hi guys,
Long ago I was the owner of a Katana 1100 SD, blue stripe over tank. I was 20 and owned her for a couple of years before a house and a wife took over. I got back in the saddle in 2007 when I bought a GSXR1000 K2. I've seen the odd Kat around in the last couple of years and I always reminisce. I rode with a mate of a mate a couple of weeks back. He rides a GSX1000SZ? Anyway, I've caught the bug again and have to have one. I've been checking them out online in the past few weeks and I'm glad I found this great club. Hoping I might even find a member who has a nice Kat for sale. Thanks to Tomcat for the welcome and I hope to meet a few of you guys and your Kats in the near future.

Hi Marty,

You will certainly find plenty of like minded people here. Hope you find good Kat soon.

Cheers

Paul

Nice one Marty and welcome. The Sydney guys get together every now and then for a ride so just hang around the forum for all sorts of info.
There are a few Kats for sale here and there and the boys on this site will gladly give advice on an unsure prospect.

Welcome Marty.

Great choice in bikes you have!

SoO is in a few months - best opportunity to get your soon to be acquired Kat out and into the clowder.

Hi Matty

As with all things, research is key.
I myself have paid way too much for some parts, and then gained others at what I consider ridiculously cheep/ acceptable value.

The key is so long as your happy with the purchase / outcome, no different to buying a new pair of shoes ( if they are cheap, but hurt your feet to wear, then it's not really a bargain ).

Couple of bikes on bikesales at present which might be a good place to start and then explore other sites. You'll get a feel for the markets highs and lows and hopefully find the benchmark of where you want to be

G'day Marty and welcome. Good luck and enjoy your Katana endeavours, remember no mater what you pay if the bike is what you want but the dollars seen excessive, over time it will all work out. Today's high price will be next years bargain!...Enjoy. cheers Ian.

Welcome Marty and another Hawkesbury Kat brother. Justin from Bilpin and hopefully my Kat is one that you have seen in the last couple of years! Not selling and is off the road ATM but will get it sorted out. Owned it for 24 years this year. Retired through illness so available for any assistance and not far away so PM me (or just call me 0408 652 912) and lets get you back on a Kat where you belong
