Welcome back Dave

Read about your StreetKat in RetroBike mag. Cool project.
Will that be the one your bringing to the 35th?

Stuart

G'day Dave, Welcome back, very kool kat and looking forward to seeing your new project progress. cheers Mate.
regards Ian.

Doreen.... Cut lunch and a compass away from me.

Are you interested in going to the 35th over Mt Hotham with two, maybe three other Katanas? Spending a night at the Blue Duck and then onto the 35th early Saturday morning?

Phil

Would be great Phil, but heading up with partner and possibly kids arriving Friday night
Dave

Welcome back Dave, looks like a lot of time and effort into your Street Kat, well done!

One question... those 'bar end mirrors look like they sit in from the end of the 'bars rather than out, so you're looking under your hands at them. Do they work like that? I've seen a few bikes on the commute that have them mounted that way and always wonder how well they work. It's certainly neater than the stalks!

Thanks Pete,
The bar end mirrors work well underneath generally. If I have a pillion then their knees can sometimes be in the way but easy to rotate out or u if needed.
I stock similar mirrors with my custom parts business if interested.

Cool, good to know Dave. Probably not something I'll do on the Kat but have pondered them for the wee beastie and the commute.

Out of interest what is your custom parts business? I'm probably not the only one who's interested in that!

Pete the parts business is Keband Custom and new website coming soon.
Stock Motogadget electrical items, GripAce digital switches, Sena bluetooth, as well as mirrors and brake / tail lights
Will advise when online store is set up

Cool, good to know Dave. Probably not something I'll do on the Kat but have pondered them for the wee beastie and the commute.

I keep seeing muppets with attrocious "cafe racers" lanesplitting with bar end mirrors that are sitting out - I've never understood the point of making a bike 10" wider and harder to lane split with...

Have a cafe racer too.
Bar end mirrors don't cause an issue for me as bars are narrower and lower so easier to lane split as fit both between and under car mirrors
