G'day All,
As I was explaining to Nick in the live chat section:
I live in Victoria and are looking to purchase a 82>83 Kat.
I had a JCW Replica in 85 and loved it, (More than my girlfriend at the time), it was yellow (as JCW's were) and fully faired.
I'm sick of just looking at the old photos and have decided to do something about it.
I was just curious on the topic of lower fairings, how hard are they to obtain and or does anyone still manufacture them?

Thanks for your time
Kind Regards
Guzzardi

..G'day Guzzardi and welcome. The lowers are readily available, both new and they turn up on Ebay used. Good luck with your endeavours and enjoy....cheers Ian

Hi Guzzardi and welcome to Katana Australia. As Ian has mentioned the SZ/SD Katana lowers turn up from time to time and the prices vary depending on the condition. There was a set of unused lowers on e-bay a few months ago for $700 however, this set did not include any mounting brackets so unless you are able to make them yourself there is the added cost of having them made on top of the $700. Used sets do turn up however, they are snapped up pretty quickly and the used sets still sell for several hundred dollars and again some have brackets and some don't. Good luck with your hunt for the lowers.

Cheers.

Hi and welcome, there is a crowd on ebay that sell lowers for around the 400 mark new will post a link later when I'm on my laptop

Cheers
Max

Welcome Guzz, you will go ok with Max's link for 'handcraft'. Nick put me on to them for a new screen, they do good work.

Plenty of lowers about mate depending on where you want to be on price and condition.

Welcome to the Kat House Guzz and lowers for your Kat up here in Sydney i use Handcraft Fiberglass at Seven Hills N.S.W. and they also do Katana screens both in clear and tint. You will get to know allot of good people on this forum and keep an eye out for upcoming events and also i will be at the Superbikes at the Island in February.
