GSXR1100 Q?

Morning Fellas,
I know its a gsxr 1100 Q but was hoping for some info?

I have a 1127 engine and a 1052, are the gears (1st and 2nd) interchangeable?
 
Q2, I have an 85 slabby and am looking at trying the 29mm Mikuni FCRs on the GSX750 kat. Any thoughts out there? Maybe jet changes to suit? And Yes a later mod is the cam swap but carb first. Want to understand the different power deliveries for each Step/ swap, including the ignition upgraded in the process(maybe). 1 step at a time. Advice wanted. Sorry if this has been covered before, if so, point me in that direction.
Yes the handling is on the list, the slabby front end and brake upgrade and a fork brace, shock as well. Basically building what Suzuki could 've done in a 85 Kat. period correct idea. Steve
 
sounds like fun mate - cant provide any advice to your Qs unfortunately but would be cool to see the result!
 
Yeh, Drillit. The single light blue strip that ran from the front of the fairing ,across the upper part of the tank. 1983 i believe
 
Yeh thats it, but just using the light blue stripe? BUT the more I look at it the more I just like the plan KAT.

Might have to just buy another to build. OMG its a sickness!
 
There is a scientific formula for the correct number of bikes.

It's n+1 (n = current number of bikes).
 
yeh Drillbit I got about 50 bikes 70/80s and some 90s bike projects stashed and im looking at a deal for 2 gsx1100 complete bikes plus 2 more 1100 engines and lotsa parts, swapping a Z900 complete project for them( its ok I got enuf parts for a retro Z build).. I can see a Kat build in those parts, even the tank is close enuf to massage to the same or similar shape as the Kat. Some close similar tanks out there. Im sure the boys have done this before? Even thinking of chasing a pop up project too. Seen one built in Kat silver, actually looked right, if you know what I mean. Ill get xmas out the way then see who on the site may want to swap stuff. Prefer swapping rather than on selling stuff. We help each other out that way. Im really keen to catch up in the new year, my 750s 1982 is basically ready to rego now. Cant wait to ride again.
 
Forgot to ask, I have a working spare set of Kat gauges that need needles, do you boys have some one who you would recommend?? Supa
