Hi SKA,
Here's a few pics of my 1100 SD. The first is in the garage just prior to Rego, The rest are on it's first run in over 10 years.
Its fitted with a Tingate 4:1, Ikon shocks and a aluminium fork brace.

Thanks Phil, Apart from a quick (albeit dodgy) frame paint its pretty much untouched. I've owned this one since '95 and it's getting close to 80,000 k's.
I stumbled across both of your Island Classic post's ... Good to have met JB, John Mc and Steve Martin ... looks like a great weekend.

Would you believe I'm still not sure !!! I tried to coax a mate to join me for the trip over but he's quite sick with the dreaded "C" and wont be able to make it.
I was waiting for months for him to let me know, but with his on going treatment etc some days/weeks are better than others.

As nothing has been booked or planned, I have probably left it too late.

I found a pic of my original blue 1100 SD, I owned that one in 1984...(sorry, poor quality pic of a pic) then the current maroon SD I bought in '94 or '95.
I've still got the cycle style fairing, just need to make the lower mounting bracket, Gear Sack / rack and its the same original fork brace I had on the blue KAT.

Chief, All good, enjoying the photos. Is it the same Tingate system on the blue SD and the red SD? Am I correct you would also be a fan of the new/old "Indian Chief"?:)....cheers Ian

With the exception of the fork brace the blue SD was sold as is, including the original 4:2 system. When I bought the red SD I purchased a new
Tingate system which is still fitted. However, due to transport issues, it has some damage at the bottom of headers and muffler.

I am a fan of most things mechanical both old and new.

I also like the full fairing but not all the time. I have had a couple of different styles over the years. I also like the original Kat fairing with a belly pan. Each to their own.
 
I also like the full fairing ( have in the shed to eventually do up ). Will proberly place on the cooler months, like a winter coat.

Point I was trying to make is that Elle looked good no matter what she's wearing. I rember her wearing a one-piece, but you could still the detail of the hardware underneath:o
 
Yeah, there is a set of lowers hanging in the shed that came off the Kat in about 1989. Can't say I would be keen to cover up that glorious Suzi lump of an engine but never say never.
