Hi everyone, would just like to introduce myself to your owners group, my name is Rod (nickname Rocket), i have owned many bikes over the years and always been fond of the Katanas from years ago when my mate had a nice 1100 although i had never owned one till now, this one came about due to my father inlaw being a bit of a junk collector and somehow ended up with a 1983 650 Katana stuck out the back of his shed in Northampton, when up there at xmas I spotted it and agreed to do some work on his patrol in exchange for the bike, it obviously hasn't been on the road for a long time and is in pretty rough condition but decided i would like the challenge of restoring this which i am looking forward to getting into, so thats about how i got involved in your forum.
cheers for now

Welcome Rocket66,

Good concise intro - there are quite a few active members with 650's - so I am sure you will meet like minded people.

Be good once you can post up some pictures.

Welcome Rod, and good Intro.

You'll find a few Katana enthuthiests ( fanatics ) on the west coast.
Nothing better than a shed find through the barter system!

Be sure to post some pics of your bike, and take some time to navigate around the site. You'll find there is specific sections relating to restorations etc.

Big point, never rush the resto, the Sistine Chapel was not painted during an episode of my house rules!

Welcome to the Kat House Rocket. Post some pics of your Kat. Lots of voyeurs here who want a peek. ;)
