February 8th 2020 - two ride options

GSX250S Rider
Hi all
There are two major rides coming on same weekend in 2020 ( 8th February ).

The first is the DeweyHungerford Memorial ride ( Stone movie ). Dewey was an actor in the movie ( Septic ) and also co-director.
The ride for NSWstarts at Phesents nest servo and rides south to beehive hotel, Coolac.
There is also a contingent of motors riding north from Melb. They are expecting riders in there 1'000's.

Joining the ride is free, but if you want to enter the Beehive and take in the entertainment as well as camping the tickets are $70.

I was hoping to get a clowder of Kat's as one group into the ride ( I've already ordered my ticket ).

The second ride is a group ride to the Bathurst bike show. Geoff Majer has more details on this one.

Personally, I'm choosing the Stone ride as a once in a lifetime opportunity ( and I love the movie ).

Note also that the 40th anniversary of the Katana is fast approaching. Advance word is this will be a Sydney event.

Am sure there will be more to come in the next few weeks.

Cheers

Hi Stuart,
I have been on the Stone ride a couple of times and that was a while back. Be careful as it has some groups turn it into a drag fest and there has been accidents on the freeway.
Nick

I rode in the 1993 20th Anniversary Stone Run with some mates, what a day, sooo many bikes! The piss-up at Wallsend was epic! Did the 1998 25th Anniversary Stone Run and although it had all the ritz and merch it didn't have the buzz of the first run, pity.

"Take the trip".

Cheers.
