Dry Carb Bowl

My number 2 carb bowl is dry but the other 3 have fuel - my prognosis would be that the tang on the float needle is too high so the needle is not letting fuel in? Does this make sense (before I take the bowl off). I had this once with another bike because I had been supplied the wrong needle (too long).

I suspect you'll have to take the bowl off anyway.

For the float to be pushing on the needle valve in an empty bowl, the tang would have to be severely bent by whoever assembled the carb. And if that was the case the carb would never have worked (I'm assuming it has run). Lack of fuel in the bowl could be the needle valve is stuck, or the fuel passage ways to the needle valve are blocked. What bike/model carbs?

Do the words bite me mean anything to you 2.

Kawakka GPz750. Mikuni of some model, they look like the same ones on my 7Fiddy. Thanks for the advice, I'm trying to avoid removing the carbs if it can be helped (call me lazy)

if a kawa then it might be worthy of help,
give the bowel a solid wack with a piece of wood the needle might be stuck

Did that one, I can get the bowl off and check the needle and float without removing the carbies, will just have to live without skin on my knuckles for a few days.

Suck it up you no your going to have to remove them just your self conscious mind playing tricks with your mind now deep breath and lets get started. Cheers Murf (There is always time to do the job twice but never enough time to do it properly)
