Doing the "Plain"

Just after a gauge from fellow members on one of my bucket list items.

Always wanted to do the Nullarbor on a bike one day and starting to think that sooner might be better than later to start putting some thought into it.

First step is seeing if any fellow members might also be interested in one of the ultimate road trips, bearing in mind this trip would be at least a year or two away and need a couple of weeks to complete, at least.

Just expressions of interest at this stage....2 years is a long time away and as we all know things change along the way.

Possible time could incorporate the 35th Katana anniversary but not set in stone by any means.

Hmmm - I am also very keen but we'd be riding in opposite directions...... i would love to ride over for the 35th anniversary but would definitely not be doing this on my own. The only other active member from WA is going to be heading over but with his bike(s) on a trailer. this may be the option I choose in the end cos I think my mrs will be keen to head east.

All the best with the trip. I've always wanted to combine the nullabour with Tassie and Phillip Island (my Kat has done this once before in its previous life and Id love to take her back to do it again!!)

If ya do make the trip over depending where else ya end up might be able to meet you on the road somewhere in WA??
 
Hey Eric, now that's a plan right there. Ride over to the West meet up with Rusty and the two of you ride/drive back to the East Coast. Ride and rest as you both take turns with a Kat in the trailer or both riding while Rusty's wife drives the support vehicle. No need to thank me it's all in a days work here on the Forum.

Glens idea sounds like a possible plan Rusty at this early stage, won't rule anything out.

Definitely would plan a meet up when it comes about. (insert Thumbs up here)
 
Hmmmmm when ya minds not on porn Glen it must work OK. See how it pans out there Eric - could be definitely an option.

Hey Eric when the time comes and you are opting for a place to stay there is room here as i will be riding down from Sydney for the 35th.

Thanks Nick, yes I will be hoping to catch up with members along the way and if it ties in with the 35th that would be a good thing :D
