Disappointed

Ugh that's horrendous! B-King meets Gladius meets GSXR... looks a bit like one of those body builders who bulk up their shoulders and arms and walk around on twig legs...

...I'd even have one of them. (as in the post above).....ride it till you realise it's got no soul....then "park " it in the lounge....I've got to move that fish tank...cheers

Starting to get into Triumph Street Triple and MV Augusta Brutale territory with those looks.

Lucky I'm a huge fan of both bikes!!

Triumph, the Thruxton... another bike I have liked since it was released. Looked at the Ace limited edition recently. Old heritage.

Preferred the Green & Gold 2014 model and was starting a fund for one, until my daydreams got escalated by talk of a next Gen. Katana based on the Recursion concept.

Rusty

I really like the Ace Café as it is a limited edition. But yes red does look the best. I am actually from Sydney and my last year there I was living next door (suburb) to Nick Kakasiouris. Been in WA now for 40 odd years.

If you ever venture south of Perth yell out.

Bit of a shame really I was livin in freo only about 4 yrs ago. Its where I originally restored the Kat before putting her straight in storage for 12 months with only 300kms on the new motor (was very hard thing to do....) while we went overseas travelling. Came back, got work in gero and have been up here since. There is one other Kat up here but I havent had any succes tracking the owner down for a ride. Offered up help with any issues he had or to talk Kats over beer but he faded away from the olf forum once he had it all up and running. Bummer really - his is a freshly rebuilt stock 1100. Always wanted to jump on opne and see the difference between them and my (816cc) 750. Will keep in touch if Im ever that way. Pity bout the dates of the Japper Bike show. Went to all the first ones (where i got some inspiration from the 30th anniversary Kats in show to get mine done).

Take it easy!

Our account manager from one of the vendors we deal with was in for a meeting yesterday and showed me a photo of his just purchased brand new Ace Cafe Thruxton... looked nice in the photo! I have a soft spot for the scrambler personally... with the after market Arrow 2 into 1 on it...
