Dee Why Car & Bike Show

big thank you to Mario & the team of organizers at the Dee Why Australia Day Car & Bike Show.

they were very helpful for a newby attending his first show, and the crowds were interested in the range of bikes on show.

even had one gent ask if the 750 Kat was the new model from Suzuki;)

despite the weather was a good day on Sydney's Northern beaches

Trophy's were best modern motorcycle ( 1980 +) & best overall.
There was only 2 categories, classic ( before 1980 ) was the other.
Big one is the perpetual best overall which I hand back in a year.

Nice one Tomcat!

Errrr for some reason I thought Nige posted this, sorry mate! Edited and fixed... :o

Thanks all for your posts,

Agree with DrillIt, every blue seat is a winner, and the red seats, grey seats, and any black seats.
It was great to have so many of the general public come past and recognise, ask & comment about these truely icon machines.

Well done mate and you had a talk with a mate of ours who asked you if you know me via this forum. He was impressed with your bike and the photos you showed him.

Nice Work Tomcat!!!! Last year I went put my 750 into the local Show and Shine. Spent a few hrs prepping, polishing etc etc only to have her fail to start on the morning in question..... I had decided about a week earlier to try and see what high octane juice would do to her. The answer fouled plugs is what!! by the time I have figured it all out, cleaned the plugs, re-charged the (now flat) battery, replaced the juice with 91 octane (which is what I normally run her on) the event sign up had closed. Bugger!

She looks the goods!! I also had someone recently ask me what model etc she was. Nearly died when I told him it was an 81 Kat. He thought it was some modern retro styled naked! either way he bloody loved the thing!!
