Ok will check out cheers , i read a couple of post about wear in the clutch basket , have you heard of that one .Good chance one of the big springs on the back of the clutch basket has broken. One of mine is, and I have that exact same symptom.
Which springs are you meaning .Ok will check out cheers , i read a couple of post about wear in the clutch basket , have you heard of that one .
Yep, that's where the edges of the clutch plates wear ridges into the basket, which you can see and feel with your fingers. That's more likely to introduce clutch grab rather than rattles though is my understanding.Ok will check out cheers , i read a couple of post about wear in the clutch basket , have you heard of that one .
They're actually rivetted in with the plate to the basket, which is part of #1 in that diagram, they're not so easy to replace.Which springs are you meaning .

For me I've just left it be, and I have the RS34 flatside rattle as well which I happen to like, so I just let them mask each other out and enjoy the ride![]()
Hi Pete - I have the flat slide rattling in my Rs34s also. Mainly on carb 3 I think- the one you balance all the others. I’ve downtuned them for my pop up, and I’ll be damned if I could get rid of it, pilot great- needle height good, balanced nice with sincpro, pump well adjusted—still rattle. I started to think well they’re racing carbs so don’t like sitting around in traffic and they’re just angry at low revs. They love to run thought. Cheers Shane. ps stoked to know it’s not just meThey're actually rivetted in with the plate to the basket, which is part of #1 in that diagram, they're not so easy to replace.
