Clip on handle bars

Hi all,

The clip on handle bars are no longer available to buy from Suzuki. I have a bent pair on one bike and the other bike has a bar that is snapped in half.

When I asked Mick what other options are there, he said just polish them up... A bit tough when it's broken.

I know Pete you asked the question about the Chinese ones like this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/291218202490?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT but I didn't see any answers.

Webike only show a similar product to the Chinese thing, nothing else on eBay...

Any other suggestions?

I am going to Mick Hones this morning so I will ask him directly again; maybe something off another Suzuki model... Who knows.

Thanks!

Phil

Hi Phil,
The team at Mick Hone should be able to help and if you get a moment contact Old Gold and ask them what after market clip on they use as i have a set on my 81 1100 Kat but can't tell the brand.

I bought Vortex through Ratedrparts in WA. An eBay company. Great price and good guy (Steve) to deal with.
You can choose the rise and the angle.

Hi again...

Thanks for the replies and especially for the PM Stuart. :)

Been to Mick Hone's and picked up my order, and spoke to Mick about options for the bars. He suggested Woodcraft @ about $300 a pair. He stated that they look and feel like quality and match the Kat reasonable well.

Just thought I would post a quick picture of what the front section of his store looks like for those in other states.

Be careful if you try a set of the Chinese jobbies, they will say For 1100 Katana but could well be for 41mm forks...std Kat forks are 37mm I believe.

Cheers

Ahhhh!
Pictures of Mecca.

Not to be a rivet counter, but did anybody else notice that the front disc bolt retainers were not bent into position?

CMS in Netherlands is showing new stock of both sides if you are happy with the price.
Note, prices are in Euro.
I've bought a lot from them and usually arrives in a few days

Yeah now that's a Suzuki dealer worth visiting!! :D

I'll let you know what the Chinese ones are like if they're under the Chrissy tree, otherwise I'll be looking myself...

Billpo
Western motorcycles in Penrith ( NSW ) have this listed.
I've had a couple of dealings with then and they are pretty good. Can have items listed only to check and find out "no longer available from manufacturer", but might be worth a shot

Chinese ones... 37mm high rise:

They look ok but won't know for sure of course until things are a little more assembled... unfortunately I had to dismantle the Kat again to get some more of the shed internals done.

I bought a set of Woodcraft 3 inch riser bars from Mick Hones about a year ago for the SD Katana. Had them on the bike for while but eventually put the originals back on.
Will soon be putting the Woodcrafts back on as I'm a bit tired of the buzzzzzzing I get through both standard bars. (These do not have the original bar end weights, just some aluminium ones I made a while back.)
