AUSTRALIAN MOTORCYCLE MUSEUM FINAL SWAP MEET..SAT 7th andSUN 8th FEBRUARY 2015

...Tom, it would be great if you could make it, it really is the end of another era for me with the closure of the museum. Glen's suggested as were going to have a couple of drinks, why not roll the swags out under one of the carports (off the side of the shed). We could BBQ/ eskys down there as well. i got a couple of DVD's (bike content) that are very interesting. One by Dale Walker's HOLESHOT performance on camshaft degreeing and a copy of a 30 year old VHS that Vance and Hines produced in 1985 "HOW TO BUILD A GS(X)1100 engine". We could run them on a portable player. I couldn't think of a better reason to visit your mum. I hope you can pull it off, cheers Ian.
PS i guess your parts haven't arrived yet?:)PPS Sue's mum is in aged care at Currimundi..."Currimundi garden and retirement village and hostel Caroline Chisholm Hostel" Would your Mum be in the same one?

Anything is possible and will see what I arrange with work etc. Parts have not arrived yet. Anything via Austpost takes a while to get here. Hence WA stands for "Wait Awhile". My mum is still living on her own in a place near Caloundra called Pelican Waters. Talk soon and will let you know. Would be great to catch up.

Eric, It's actually a copy on DVD. But i do own a VHS. I haven't used it for a long time. Anybody remember how to use one? It would be a good vid to watch.Thanks. cheers Ian

:):Arrive Saturday for catch up , stick beak at my shit, beers, BBQ and possible museum swap visit on Saturday avo? to catch the early bird traders, if we're sober!...we could always get Sue to drive us out if we're not as she loves driving a bunch of drunken FK's around!
.:)Sunday off to the swap early then back here for more coffee/beers? and a big BBQ breakfast/lunch?
..OR:-D arrive Friday and we could go to the Museum swap early on Saturday and see if there's any early bird traders and rat through the Museums '' stock'' then ditto as above.
..Bring a swag and a hat.
..:confused::confused:..Phone me on 07-54645439
..I think going to Toowoomba swap would just make it all to hard and remember it will be SO FN HOT.

I am in for the beers and BBQ. Toowoomba swap meet isn't on my list of things to do, so I will mind the fort while anyone/everyone else goes to the top of the hill. Happy to tag along with whatever the plan is for the Museum swap meet. I'll bring my swag and rack-out near the BBQ and fridge, someone has to keep the magpies away from the food.

Cheers.

Cheers

Hi

work is organised and have booked the flights. Lesley and I will be there. Will be a rushed trip but cannot wait.

Tom

G'day Tom, If you want there is spare double beds/bedrooms in the house for you and Lesley if you want some privacy. The boys will bunking down the shed, Sue will be sleeping up at the house. I don't know your schedule but your welcome to stay for as long/short as you like "mi casa es su casa".....cheers Ian..:cool:

Thanks Ian. That is really appreciated. Only have 2 days in Queensland and need to get to Caloundra to see mum. I will telephone you to have a chat.

Ian, do you think they guy who was interested in the little Duc will be there?

If so, and if I have my carbs sorted, I will try to get there this weekend.

I need to get my motivation back and getting the little Duc either sold or done has gotta happen early this year.

so this BEER and BBQ, is it still on?

Whats the current plan?

Hi John, Ian rang this morning and there has been a change to the plan. BBQ and drinks are not happening for the swap-meet weekend. Tom, Ian and I are going to the swap-meet on Saturday morning and the BBQ/drinks are being postponed to after the S.O.O. in March. If you are planning to be at the swap-meet on Saturday we'll see you there John. Watch this space as things could change?

Cheers.

Hi guys, The latest....Tom and Leslie are flying in Friday night , picking up a hire car and staying in Ipswich Friday night. They are going to pick Sue and I up Saturday morning at 7.30ish and Glen is going to drive his ute out to carry our spoils of war home. After the swap were all coming back here (MARGARITAVILLE GARAGE and KAT house) for sticky beak etc. Saturday afternoon/evening Tom and Leslie will leave and Glen was going home. Sunday I'll go back again and see what's happening. John , drinks/feed/accommodation is still open for any takers. Pete , Allen Smith is your man regarding you little DUC. I'm sure he'll be interested and he will definitely be there.
....John and Val and Pete and anyone else is welcome to stay , modify the agenda to suit yourselves, between here and the Museum is approx. 5 K's. So ducking out to have a gecko isn't an issue.
...Cheers Ian

Thata a shame I like Beer...
Think I will take a ride Saturday morning to the swap meet, and have a sticky beak
