2017 Katana S.O.O. Rally

Hi Folks, just an early reminder to start thinking about the 2017 SOO, even though it’s still a long way off. The early notice is to allow as much time as possible for those with work rosters and other matters that may need sorting to get the weekend off.

Another reason for the early SOO notice is a discount on accommodation. After speaking with Simon at The White Albatross today he advised me they have a new booking system and that to receive a discount for accommodation in September the booking must be made by phone and paid in full before 30 June 2017. When making your accommodation booking to receive the discount you must ask for the “Advanced Purchase Rate”.

If there is any problem regarding the discount ask to speak with Simon.

Weather data for Nambucca Heads has September as the lowest rainfall month for each year so September is the go in an attempt to ride dry, yeah sure.

When: Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th September 2017.

Where: Nambucca Heads NSW.

Staying: White Albatross Park.

https://whitealbatross.ahp.com.au/

As of today 17th January 2017 all cabins and villas are available for the weekend of 16, 17 September.
As many of you will know sharing cabins is a good way to keep the cost down so if sharing is an option for you talk to each other about what can be arranged.
For anyone wishing to arrive at Nambucca Heads on Friday 15th September as of today (17 Jan 2017) accommodation at The White Albatross is available.
The evening dinner for Saturday will be at the V Wall Tavern with a group table booking.

As usual could those planning to attend the 2017 SOO please reply here and I’ll amend the list as it progresses.
I hope to see everyone again this year (and hopefully some new members and their Kats) and look forward to enjoying your company as we celebrate our mighty Kats in all their glory.

QLD Group Ride:

Watch this space for details of the ride once we have sorted out the preferred ride day for the group.

Cheers,
Glen.

Hi Glen and all QLD group

Just reported in this weeks AMCN mag that the Lions Rd will be closed for 6 months to replace old timber bridges.
Whilst this should be completed before the SOO there can always be delays, and would think that they would need to have temporary measures in place for the locals, just worth keeping an eye on the progress.

Cheers
Stuart

Thanks for the heads-up on Lions Rd Stuart. This year we are not planning on using Lions Rd for the group ride so all good. See you in Nambucca eh Stuart?

Cheers,
Glen.

I will be there, I will probably do the ride down Friday thing again, if any QLD`ers want to do a breakaway group thing.

Cheers John
