Hi Folks, yes you are reading this right, 2016 S.O.O. is a goer. Talking with members at this years S.O.O. and feedback from others who couldn't make it has highlighted the fact that the S.O.O. rates very highly with our members and is considered as a must have event. Bearing this in mind the S.O.O. is now going to be held every year however, there is a change needed for when it will be held. March is a busy month for events with main motorsport events like Supers, BSFS, Historic Racing and F1 all being run in March each year and many of our members attend these other important events as well. To help ease the time restraints on members and give the best possible chance for people to attend the S.O.O. another time of year for the S.O.O. needed to be considered. After checking the sports, motorsport, festival calender, school holidays, Tourist Centre in Nambucca and the 2016 July Bookings with the White Albatross it seems the best weekend for our S.O.O. that won't clash with other major events is the last weekend in July 2016 - Saturday 30th and Sunday 31st. For some this may be a bonus as July/August is also the lowest rainfall period for Nambucca Heads each year.

So the good news is our S.O.O. is on for next year and will now be run each and every year. I am looking forward to the S.O.O. for next year already and I hope to see everyone there enjoying the ride, food and company of our Katana Group. So for anyone with a Kat project on the go get the spanners moving (you know who you are, and yes there is more than one of you) and circle July next year to finish the Kat and we'll meet up at our S.O.O. to swap stories over a few drinks and great food with even greater Kat Kompany.

You mean we won't have the annual wet ride event? Nooo! I mean... yessss!!! I'll either be in for the trip to Kyogle/Casino or if a miracle happens and I have a Kat on the road I'll be there with bells on...
 
Ya know Pete, when you say "with bells on" it always rains so maybe it's you and not Darklord bringing the wet stuff?

Glad to hear it Eric. If the plot being hatched gets off the ground you won't have to wait until 2016 for our next weekend ride......................................July this year is the go!

I would not mind a part TWO this year as i am waiting on parts for the 750 S2 and i will have to rego her in two weeks as will need to make sure the head gasket is all good. Keep me informed Shin.

Sorry Nick, it won't be a Part II S.O.O. to Nambucca in July this year. The planned weekend ride is for the backblocks of QLD however, you and any one else from the forum is welcome to join in.

Ok, I know the SoO is a while off yet, but wanted to get some clarity as some members have made comments which suggest that your SoO can be changed.

What are the definitions of the SoO.
- state you are originally from?
-state you were in when you bought your first Kat?
-state in when purchased current Kat?
Or,
- state your kat was first registered in ( if you could actually find that out pre- computer data records )?

A clear ruling would be helpful.
