2015 Laverda Concours Brisbane

I'll say tentatively yes... worked out the on call roster yesterday and now I can't remember if that's a good or bad weekend...

I may not ride as I want to put a couple of bikes in the show - depends whether I get my trailer in time

Cool, if there's enough interest we can organise a ride down again like normal.

Looks like I start on call 20th July so I should be good to go.

Out at Ernest Henry Mine mate, copper and gold.
Spent 22years underground and the last 8 or so on the surface working in a control room looking after all the underground workings. - Shaft, crusher, belts, pumps, fans, etc

Cheers :)

At this stage I'm still planning on this... wouldn't mind going the long way with a run over Mt G/Mt N first and down from there though... just not a fan of let's go straight there on a weekend...

If anyone's keen we could meet up at Samford if there's interest, and we can have another meet point further along towards Cleveland.

Ok not sure who else is keen on riding down together but I'm gonna propose meeting at the Samford Caltex at 7:30 for a loop over Mt Glorious/Mt Nebo and then down to Cleveland from there. At this stage it looks like a contact from work will probably meet me there, on a Triumph Thruxton though...

I expect we'd be at Cleveland around the 9:30 mark or possibly earlier. If anyone is keen to meet up on the way down we can meet up somewhere else along the way. Maybe Rocklea if any of the western chaps are joining us?

Ok meeting the guy from work at Samford at 7:30 is a definite now, anyone else keen?

Happy to meet up with anyone else along the way somewhere, will detour out to Rocklea for the Western folks if necessary.

I also spoke to Ian yesterday and he and Sue should be going but will likely be driving down and will catch up with us down there.

..:):)..Sue and I will plan to be there at 9.30 ish...I imagine the traffic will be the deciding factor . Looking forward to catching up. Cheers Ian

Good stuff Ian!

Looks like I'll be flying solo after all, work contact pulled the plug.

i'll be leaving the Samford Caltex by around 7.45 I reckon, make up the route down as I go.

..:):)..Caught up with pete today..pkay was missing in action....had a great day with plenty of bikes and birds to admire while listening to one of our truly great local bands "The Steve Ritta Band" whom I never tire of listening to their great repertoire of good old "biker music", wandering around in truly pleasant "Queensland winter sunshine", unfortunately their weren't more SKA members in attendance, they missed a good day, cheers Ian and Sue:cool:

Was good to catch up with the pair of you Ian and Sue! Make sure you take care of that back so you can get back on the Kat :)

I had a nice solo run over Mt Glorious/Mt Nebo, totally uninterrupted for a nice change. A bit chilly but well worth the detour.

Perfect day for the show but not much took my eye. I didn't do the bike park walk this year either, ran out of time unfortunately.

Not one single Kat either unfortunately.

Here's the few bikes that took my eye... the last one for John of course :D
