1982 katana gsx1100s 4into 2 original exhaust pies

Hi could any body please tell me if you can still get a set of original 1982 katana 1100 4into2original exhaust pipes? And if so what do you think they would be worth in good condition if they exist.

Hey Belly, welcome along! Pretty sure they're NLA genuine and new now, but they show up from time to time on Gumtree, eBay, and Yahoo Japan going by the various posts I've seen on here. Prices vary from ok if they're a bit rough to eye watering if they're immaculate.

If you're after a 4 into 2 but not necessarily ridgy didge genuine, I've heard mention that Tranzac up here in Qld will make up a 4 into 2 to suit.

I know that Takahiro destroyed his headers on his SXZ , the bikes a bit fucked up and in need of more than a few parts,

SXZ is safe. It is a fall while riding the SZ. What I showed Patrick was the Yoshimura header that I removed from the SZ.

As a post to this thread, genuine SZ exhausts cannot be ordered except for NOS. The same applies to the exhausts of other models. I got two sets of used SZ exhausts in the past, but after using them for a while, the partition walls inside the muffler came off due to deterioration, making them unsuitable for use. All four mufflers of the two exhaust sets are now like that. For your reference.

Thanks Pete for the info. I think I have found a beautiful set of original genuine pipes with not a mark on them ,they where only on the bike for 1000klm.I just don't know what they are worth. They had been filled with oil and packed in grease
then wrapped in cling wrap about 10 times. They have been hanging up in his garage for 37 years.

I'm glad to understand now the SXZ is not the bike that got beat up in your crash and that you are OK .
So, besides a set of extractor pipes what else do you need for the SZ to get back on track?

to give you an idea of value the last of the NOS complete set sold for around $2700 from Mick Hone a while back
